One of the great challenges faced by the city of Baltimore in recent decades has been figuring out a way to stem the tide of residents moving from the city to the surrounding counties. My colleagues and I in the City Delegation have worked diligently to find ways to improve public safety, infrastructure, and schools – and we will continue to do so. However, one of the persistent, unaddressed problems has been dealing with the city’s property tax rates that often are far higher than those of surrounding jurisdictions. Continue Reading…
